AC Grand Rapids Taps vivenu for Ticketing Ahead of Inaugural 2027 Season

AC Grand Rapids has signed a multiyear agreement with vivenu to handle ticketing for the soccer club’s inaugural season at Amway Stadium in 2027. The deal makes vivenu the club’s official ticketing partner as AC Grand Rapids prepares to join MLS NEXT Pro. Its first home match is scheduled for Friday, March 19.

The partnership puts ticket sales, customer information and the purchasing experience under the club’s control from the outset. Vivenu’s platform will support mobile purchases, interactive seating maps, ticket sharing and entry at the stadium. AC Grand Rapids said it will also be able to manage the branding and fan data associated with those transactions.

The arrangement comes as the new club builds its first season ticket base. AC Grand Rapids is accepting deposits and expects season tickets to go on sale in mid-October. Fans who place a deposit receive a priority position for selecting seats when sales begin; the deposit is applied toward a season ticket package.

“Our vision for AC Grand Rapids is a community asset that builds deep connections with our fans,” club president Darrius Barnes said in the partnership announcement. He said the ticketing system is intended to make buying and using tickets straightforward as the club opens its new stadium.

For a team entering its first season, the choice of ticketing provider will shape how it communicates with supporters as well as how it sells seats. The club says the agreement will let it retain its ticketing data and manage the customer relationship under its own brand. That includes information gathered as fans place deposits ahead of the first season.

Vivenu co-founder Simon Weber said establishing those relationships early matters for a new club. “Most clubs spend a decade trying to win back fan relationships they handed to someone else early on,” he said. “AC Grand Rapids never has to.”

AC Grand Rapids will play at the 8,500-seat Amway Stadium, which is under construction on the Grand Rapids riverfront. The venue is being developed as a home for professional soccer and other events. The club’s scheduled March opener will introduce both the team and the stadium to fans.
